Nathaniel has been playing baseball practically his entire life! He fell in love with the game at six-years-old and never looked back! He is currently a catcher at South Suburban College, a Junior College just outside of Chicago, and plays summers with the East York Bulldogs Junior Team. Nathaniel has worked with EYBC for 5 Summers and strives to share his passion for developing and harnessing the skills of his groups.
Fun Fact: Nathaniel has caught for several MLB draft picks!
Meet Eli, an instructor at East York Baseball Camp and Clinics for the last 4 years! Eli has 11 years of Baseball knowledge under his belt, with his most current position as catcher and corner infielder on the Canes Canada team. Eli's positive attitude and patience with the campers allows him to make meaningful connections with ease. Eli takes great pleasure in passing down his many years of training and wisdom onto the upcoming generation to help them find their success.
Fun fact: Eli earned a Baseball scholarship to play on the Sullivan County Community College team as their catcher!
Meet Dan Mick, an enthusiastic and natural leader at East York Baseball Camp/Clinics instructing for the last 4 years! Dan does not remember a time when he was not on the diamond. His passion for baseball has led him to play Rep and Select for 13 years, most recently playing for the back-to-back OBA champion East York 18U Select team as their predominant catcher. Dan loves witnessing the campers grow to love the great game of Baseball.
Fun fact: Baseball is not Dan's only sport! Among others, he has played Football, Hockey and Basketball.
Reece has been around the game of Baseball for most of his seventeen years of life - it has become part of who he is! Reece started his Baseball journey as a Rag-Tag house league player in early grade school and is now a pitcher for the Ontario Blue Jays Baseball club. For the last 3 years, Reece has instructed with East York Baseball Camp through the Summer months and off season clinics. Reece finds passion in creating the environment in which he works. With his uplifting, positive, and energetic spirit, Reece gets to enjoy teaching the sport he loves while having fun!
Fun fact: Reece was a longtime camper before becoming an instructor!
Meet Quinlan, who has played baseball for 12 years! Quinlan most recently was a middle infielder and pitcher for East York 18U AA - as one of the top pitchers. Quinlan has completed 3 Summers as an instructor where he was able to share his love for Baseball with the up and coming youngsters, while helping them develop/improve their skills as they fall in love with the sport.
Meet Aidan Sinclair, a long-time member of the East York Baseball Association family - playing for the past 10 years! Aside from his high school team, Aidan played house league, Select and Rep levels, finding his strengths in Pitching as he worked with former EYBC staff Miles Verweel. After attending camp for years, Aidan completed 1 year as instructor-in-training, and was a first year instructor in Summer 2023. Aidan loves sharing his personal experiences with every camper he teaches. He wants to translate his knowledge into the inspiration of the next generation!
This will be Thomas's 3rd summer working at East York Baseball Camp! As an instructor, he enjoys transferring his 8 years of understanding and experience playing with the East York U18 AA team to the campers to help work on their playing mechanics, specifically batting!
Fun Fact: The first ever baseball team Thomas played for was called “the Rascals”.
Meet Zach Wood! Zach has 10 years of Baseball experience under his belt. He currently plays for the Scarborough Stingers A, SS/3B team and has been an instructor here at EYBC for the last 2 years. Zach enjoys teaching the sport he loves - and finds it so rewarding to see the improvements in the children he has taken the time to carefully instruct.
Austin has played Baseball for the last 8 years, most recently as first baseman for the Ontario Cardinals. This summer will be Austin's 2nd year as an instructor, where he can return to his passion of teaching new skills and drills, passing down his Baseball knowledge, and enjoying time in the sun!
Fun fact: Growing up, Austin played almost every sport that he could!
Sandy plays for East York Bulldogs 18U AA as 3B, SS, and RHP. With 14 years of experience and his first year as an instructor in the books, Sandy loves meeting new kids and bonding over the same passion for Baseball. Sandy can overcome any challenge he is faced with - just like how he overpowered and out grew his anaphylactic peanut allergy!
Coming from a Softball background, Hayden picked up Baseball 3 years ago and has proven his talent on the North York Blues AA 17U team as pitcher, second base, and centerfield. Hayden loves to stay fit and active while sharing his knowledge with developing players - hence his return to camp every Summer! In Hayden's spare time he loves to play Basketball and video games with friends.
Noah has played Baseball for 6 years, currently playing on the North York Blues AA. In his 3 years teaching baseball at East York Baseball Camp, he finds it incredible to watch the progress of each camper he instructs.
Fun fact: Before Noah played baseball, he played softball and won the select provincial championship.
With 7 years of Baseball experience, Sebastian completed his first year as an instructor-in-training! He currently plays for the East York Bulldogs 16U Elite team as third baseman, pitcher, and catcher. Sebastian adores working with kids, passing down what he has learnt, and sharing the love of Baseball.
Fun fact: Since the start of Sebastian's Baseball journey, each team he has played for has been alongside his twin!
For the last 3 years, Michael has been an enthusiastic, diligent, and proud instructor at East York Baseball Camp! Since the start of his Baseball journey 10 years ago, there is nothing Michael enjoys more than playing! He currently plays for the North York Blues as Shortstop/Pitcher. Michael is keen on connecting with the campers and ensuring they have a positive and impactful experience - while teaching the sport he loves and having fun!
Ben is a dedicated and hard working athlete who has been playing competitive baseball for the last 11 years. He started off at the select level at East York and has grown into the Rep player that he is today. This experience of growth has given him all of the knowledge that any young ballplayer could ever want. Ben plays a mix of first base and third base utilizing his intelligent and big presence on the infield. Through his training and 3 years of instructing at East York Baseball Camp and Clinics, Ben quickly discovered his favourite part about teaching is getting to watch the campers grow to become better players each week.
Fun fact: Ben can juggle up to 5 baseballs at once!
Meet Jaelynn (Jae), a natural-born leader! Jae completed her first year as an instructor-in-training and thoroughly enjoyed working with the younger kids - especially when they were smiling, living in the moment, and having fun playing Baseball. Jae has 11 years of experience, most recently playing for East York Bulldogs 18U Select team.
Fun fact: Jae represented Ontario at the 2022 National tournament!
Jeevan has 10 years of Baseball experience under his belt at only 16 years old! After 4 years with the East York AAA Baseball team, he now plays for the North York 18U elite as a pitcher/outfielder. As a former camper, Jeevan has always loved the environment at EYBC and takes pride in providing that same environment and experience to the new generation of baseball players! Jeevan is excited and ready for another Summer of fun!
Cameron has played Baseball for over 10 years! He recently played as pitcher and second base for the 18U elite team for East York. Over the past two years, Cameron has found it fascinating to witness the amount of improvement that campers can display in just 5 days! It motivates him to continue teaching.
Fun fact: An old EYBC instructor gave Cameron the nickname "sunshine" when he was a camper.
Eric has played Baseball for the last 9 years, including 3 great years as a member of the East York Bulldogs. Most recently, he played pitcher and shortstop for the North York Blues 18U AA and the Riverdale Collegiate Institute Rams. Eric worked his way up from a long-time camper to instructor-in-training and has been an instructor for 3 years. Eric has a deep knowledge of pitching, which he has shared through 2 years of winter training and 2 years at camp. He loves seeing kids improve and loves the mental aspect of the game.
